The Who - Tommy (2 LP)

Fourth studio album by The Who, a double album recorded 19 September 1968 – 7 March 1969 and released in May 1969. The album was mostly composed by guitarist Pete Townshend, and is a rock opera that tells the story of Tommy Walker. An orchestral version ([m=82683]) was released in 1972; a movie based on the album's story was released in 1975 ([m=68456]); and Broadway theatre production debuted in 1993 ([m=572286]).
