Simple Minds - New Gold Dream ( 81-82-83-84) (CD)

New Gold Dream (81–82–83–84) is the fifth studio album by Scottish band [a18547], released 1982 on Monday, September 13th in the UK. It charted for 53 weeks on the UK Album Chart and peaked at #3. The US edition of the album has 1982 copyrights, it debuted on LP & cassette in January 1983, and on CD in mid-1987. The US edition of the album replaces the title track with a shorter, unique mix with slightly different intro synths and widely panned drum fills. The 2016 deluxe reissue calls this the 7" Mix, and it may be the same as what was released on a 45 in Italy. This mix is essentially an edit, with slightly less reverb, of the untitled long remix which was released on an Italian 12". That long mix was also on the original UK/EU CD release (PolyGram W. Germany pressing) of the album and is sometimes called the German 12" Mix or German 12" Remix.
