The performance of the 'Purple Rain' tour held at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York on March 30th 1985 was televised live and semi live around the world, which is the source material for countless bootlegs. A slightly edited version was later released on home video. The video was re-released in 2017 on DVD as part of the [url=https://www.discogs.com/release/10452248]'Ultimate Collector's Edition' of 'Purple Rain'[/url]. And in 2020, the first official audio-only release was made available for download and streaming, followed by 3LP and CD/Blu-Ray editions in 2022 which coincided again with TV broadcasts all over the world.
