Journey - Arrival (CD)

Journey's twelfth album, first released in December of 2000 in Japan and released in a revised version in the US in April of 2001. Arrival is Journey's first album since 1977 not to feature longtime frontman Steve Perry, as well as the first full album to feature new frontman Steve Augeri, who debuted with the band on the single "[m=883381]" from the album [m=187848]. The album would also be the bands last with longtime label [l1866].

Arrival continues in the style of Journey's 80s output, although the 2nd US release is designed to have a harder-rock edge as the original Japanese release was felt by American fans to be too ballad-heavy. The 2nd American release contains a different cover, and drops the track "I'm Not That Way", while adding two new songs, "World Gone Wild" and "Nothin' Comes Close": in addition, the track "To Be Alive Again" on the American release is a shorter edit.
