Grace Jones - Warm Leatherette (CD)

"Warm Leatherette" is the fourth studio album by Grace Jones, released in May 1980. Her first album recorded at [l=Compass Point Studios], it features contributions from the reggae duo [a=Sly & Robbie] and marks a dramatic change in sound, dropping the disco of her first three albums in favour of new wave and reggae.
The album includes mostly covers, of songs by [a=The Normal], [a197435], [a=Roxy Music], [a86094], [a269534] and [a=Jacques Higelin], plus two original songs.
Most CD editions include longer versions of 5 tracks, compared to LP. These first appeared on some original cassette releases of the album.

"Warm Leatherette" was the first Grace Jones album with cover art designed by her then-boyfriend, [a=Jean-Paul Goude]. The initial release featured a black and white photograph of Grace Jones pregnant, wearing an [a5335004] dress.
