Workingman's Dead

The Dead's fifth album, released June 14, 1970. It was the first album they released that year, with [m=18442] released later that November. The album was a return to the folk, blues, and old-time music of the jug bands that were the traditional roots of the Grateful Dead, but the songs were all Garcia/Hunter compositions. The rear cover was upside down on the original release of the album. The album was recorded at [l947069] Studio, San Francisco and engineered by [a310431].
