Planet Jarre (50 Years Of Music)
This release does not state some particularities between original recorded tracks and some new versions. There are 5 new mixes or re-recordings. These new versions mix elements from the old tapes with new audio. An example of that is "Rendez-Vous 4", in which you can listen to the original main synth with new aggregated synths; another example can be heard in "Magnetic Fields 2", in which you can spot the drums, synth solos and other stuff from the "The Concerts In China" tapes, with new elements on top of it. All these new recordings have been worked to fit a compilation and they end abruptly ("Zoolookologie" oddly ends in a leading tone note, instead of the tonic note). There is one track that has been mislabeled for another mix of its own, "Revolutions, Revolutions". Five tracks have been short-cut, some with huge amount of music thrown away off the original track and also, some removal of track introduction; the song that was least short cut was "Last Rendez-Vous", which is the 2004 AERO version. Track "Music For Supermarkets (Demo Excerpt)" does not state that it is a actually the quiet experimental "Part I" from that same album.
