Art Peppers 10th album as a leader, recorded in Los Angels on a January 19, 1957 session with the at the time Miles Davis rhythm section, pianist [a=Red Garland], bassist [a259778] and drummer [a257251]. Although today reviewed as a Pepper classic, according to legend Art Pepper was only informed about the session the same morning and only met with the rhythm section when arriving unprepared at the studio - with a saxophone in bad shape.
