Pol Omedes - Bon Viatge (LP)

This album contains original music and arrangements from the trumpetist from Barcelona Pol Omedes. His strong infuence from pioneers like Blue Mitchell, Kenny Dorham and Roy Hargrove is now completed by the Afro Caribbean element. It is well carried by the percussion of José Carlos Cubas, teaming with Mátyás Gayer and Mátyás Hofecker and the drummer Joan Casares. Take notice from Jim Rotondi, Pol's old teacher and worldwide known trumpet player, as he says on the liner notes of the album: 'He’s a bad cat and he’s playing his ASS off. DIG IT.'
